Fred Turnquist was the tall one he was 6'4" He graduated from Ogden High School in 1933. He was in the Untied States Air Force during WWII he was sent to the Italian War his plane was shot down over Anzio and was shot and killed while he was parachuting out of the plane He won a medal for his bravery he was the last plane in the area, and saved many lives as he gave the others a chance to leave the area. On the night that Fred was killed Hrriet, his mother, woke up and told Carl that Fred was killed, Carl tried to reassure her but Harriet was adement they noted the time. When they recieved the telegram, it was the exact time.
